Ms Kate McCormack, BSc (Hon)
BSc (Hon) in Physiotherapy (UK)
Kate graduated from Cardiff University (UK) in 2017, specializing in musculoskeletal physiotherapy with a particular interest in neuropathic pain and spinal pathologies, including prolapsed discs, referred nerve pain, and altered sensation. She also has expertise in treating back, neck, shoulder, and lower limb injuries, with a special focus on women's health, addressing both prenatal and incontinence issues.
Kate honed her skills and gained practical experience at an acute NHS hospital, where she focused on musculoskeletal cases, acute stroke rehabilitation, elderly medicine, and intensive care. She was also part of the rehabilitation team at the UKโs North West Major Trauma Centre, treating post-operative elective and trauma surgeries. Before moving to Singapore, Kate served as a frontline worker during the COVID-19 pandemic. She has been working in a private clinic in Singapore for the past two years.
Certified in Dry Needling and Level 4 OCR Sports Massage, Kate integrates these skills with manual therapy and patient education to treat injuries. She emphasizes an exercise and strengthening approach, helping patients achieve their goals while managing their conditions. Kate has a keen interest in assessing gait, biomechanics, and exercise form to identify potential weak areas. Her experience as a Sports Physiotherapist for the under-19 Singapore Cricket Team has also made her knowledgeable in acute injury management.
Kate's passion for physiotherapy is driven by her love of sports, physical activity, and a desire to understand the bodyโs complex capabilities. She trained with her university rowing team and has participated in athletics, tennis, dancing, running, and swimming. This practical experience enables her to understand and effectively treat a wide range of sporting injuries.

"I attended Milestone with shoulder pain and after discussion and examination with Kate the diagnosis was a weak subscapularis muscle. I was given very specific exercises to do that focused on the weak muscle and that, over the weeks, progressed with difficulty. The result is that after my fourth session I have no pain and my shoulder is much stronger. Kate was brilliant in her diagnosis, explanation and treatment. Thank-you Kate."

โKate McCormack is the best physio I've ever been to! I have visited Kate with several different running-related injuries over the past few months and she is quick to diagnose the specific problem and responsible muscle. Kate makes you feel at ease in the clinic and carefully devises a strengthening plan which she runs through with you in the physio's great gym. I'm always impressed by her knowledge and expertise.โ
